The Bloomberg Administration plans to spend a half billion dollars on a 120' high sanitation parking and maintenance facility on Spring and Washington Streets. They intend to consolidate 3 districts into the facility, despite the Fair Share provisions of the City Charter.

Affordable Housing

Here, in New York City, the middle classed is being priced right out of New York City. Neighborhoods are being ruined by overbuilding luxury housing.
That makes the price of home ownership and rents go sky high.
What is the middle class to do? Young people can no longer afford to buy a home in New York City.
Can you do something to help this?
Sincerely,
Harriet J. Brown

Rent Stabilization & Affordable Housing

Hi Mark. I live in a rent stabilized complex in Queens. The landlord is constantly inventing court cases to try and scare tenants out. He files for MCI's but never does any real work. He is even slow on repairs and general maintenance, but jumps once we call 311. It is important for us--and all New Yorkers--to maintain our right to affordable housing. We deserve to live decently, with full service, and without harassment. Please go to bat for us.
